Clarendon has several attractions to offer for visitors and people considering relocating. One of the newest attractions is the Clarendon Aquatics Center, which opened downtown in 2021. The center provides fun and entertainment from Memorial Day weekend through the summer and has several features for water-lovers of all ages to enjoy.
The Saints’ Roost Museum is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Located just off SH 70 South, the museum is housed in the former Adair Hospital, which was built by JA Ranch owner Cornelia Adair in 1910.
Also located on the museum grounds, is Clarendon’s 1887 Fort Worth & Denver Depot, which has been painstakingly restored and houses several railroad and transportation related displays.
Greenbelt Lake is situated about five miles north of Clarendon on SH 70 and provides recreational activities all year long.
Fishing, boating, camping, are very popular with both guests and locals. Kincaid Park on the lake’s south side provides several amenities including RV hook-ups, a covered picnic area, and a disc golf course.
Clarendon is Cinema City with both indoor and outdoor movie theaters!
Located on SH 70 North, the Sandell Drive-In opened in 1955 and shows the latest movies during the summer months and also is the home of a special ministry year-round.
In the heart of downtown, the 1946 Mulkey Theatre shows first-run movies all year and also hosts special events, such as concerts, plays, game nights, and more!
